I was standing in the shadows, in the middle of a dirt track. I looked up and I could see that it went straight up this steep hill without veering. The track was heavily canopied with Australian Gum trees. I couldn't see the top. But as I climbed, about half way up it went from an incline of about 55 degrees to more like a 75 degrees. It got harder. It was steep. Still I made fast time, unimpeded. I was fit, it was just hard.
Finally I came to the top and it levelled out. I travelled across the top of the hill. I was out of the shadows and it was lighter in the sunshine. My vision was still obscured by the environment but at least it was level and travelling was much easier.
Slowly the land began to slope down and the trees became less dense. The land was more like rural farmland I could find in Marmsbury and surrounding hills.
Almost suddenly, I was plunged into the scenery of dry bones. They we crossed and appeared to me in pairs. Everywhere there was dry bones.
At the base of the hill was a river bed. It was dry, the water was barely flowing. It started to rain just in the river. The rain came at a very hard angle and it started to both fill and flow East. I travelled the track that followed the flow of the river for a short time until the ridge took me back inland.
I saw a dam. It was full. It was my property. Set back from the road10 metres.
I followed the track up a hill to the North. We arrived at a square mansion in Grey bluestone. It was hard against a dense backdrop of Australian bush right up close to the Western wall of the house. It faced ENE. The masion had 15 to 17 rooms. Two to three floors. There were other houses on the property close by. And other people.
